TheologySense – “Content Studies” in Context
Daniel answered and said, “Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His: And He changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding…”
Understanding one’s faith in Scripture from an ancestral foundation is an emerging discussion. The various topics are expanding. Such as the Dead Sea Scrolls! Does “identity” matter? Identity mattered in respect to the children of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob for thousands of years. So, the most apparent answer is clearly, Yes! These topics do matter!
Content in context is important!
Thus, with the plethora of available denominational doctrine, it is important to have a proper theological understanding when studying Scripture. ABP is not doctrinal. It seeks the original intent of the Lord to His writers, with the understanding that the message is past, present, and future. It has eternal ramifications; therefore, “man-made” doctrine has no dominate place in theological studies. Man-made inferences can be helpful to explain what Scripture may be saying; but they cannot and should not be made dogmatic. SCRIPTURE CAN AND WILL STAND ALONE!
TheologySense – “Scripture” & “Word” Studies
SCRIPTURE INTERPRETS SCRIPTURE!
The “Scripture” studies will focus on difficult and/or interesting verses; and attempt to dissect them using Scripture as the basis for understanding their meaning and application as they apply to a 1st Century Messianic perspective.
The “Word” studies will focus on the Greek and Hebrew origins and context of specific words in Scripture.
